Sometimes everything just goes well. When it does, the new 01v96i is here to capture that perfect moment, in 96 kHz, with exceptional sound quality. Since its initial launch in 1998, the 01V has been a console of choice for a wide variety of applications - recording, post-production environments, sound, fixed installation ...
Based on the proven configuration of previous versions, this compact digital console better meets the needs of a growing number of users. Now it offers 16 input channels / 16 input channels for streaming audio over USB 2.0 port, at an impressive maximum sample rate of 96 kHz.
It ships with the latest version of Steinberg Cubase AI software, the comprehensive suite of Yamaha Virtual Circuitry Modeling (VCM) DSP effects, which are widely acclaimed, and offers enhanced, studio-quality mic preamps. The new generation 01V96i will take your recordings and mixes a step above.
Unlike some digital consoles with which working in 96 kHz mode results in a drastic reduction in the number of signals handled, the 01V96i does not impose any such limitation, regardless of the sample rate used; it originally provides high sound resolution, thanks to its 96 kHz mode and its internal 32-bit processing (58-bit accumulator).
What's more, all built-in A / D and D / A converters work at 24-bit / 96kHz. A particularly important point about the 01V96i, whose new improved, studio-quality microphone preamps deliver extremely high audio resolution and a remarkable "air" feel. With these built-in converters working at high resolution, 24-bit and 96kHz, you can be sure that nothing is lost in the digital representation of the signal of these exceptional preamps.
You can group the faders and mutes of any selected input channel or output bus, and save the settings to multiple banks. The grouping function comes in handy in many applications, including sound reinforcement.
8 User Defined keys allow you to personalize your interaction with the console. These keys can be assigned to control the functions of your choice: copy / paste channel parameters, call up a screen page, and many other possibilities, which can constitute as many significant advantages in the context of sound applications. The Instant Group Assignment feature allows you to use these buttons to quickly set up group masters - ideal for sound reinforcement applications.
In addition to its impressive possibilities when used on its own, the 01V96i also integrates extensively with your workstation software. In addition to bidirectional audio streaming via USB 2.0, on 16 inputs and 16 outputs, the 01V96i also allows you to control your software parameters; this gives you the familiar feeling of recording, mixing and editing, instead of working with the keyboard and the mouse.
Available for Mac OS X and Windows platforms, 01V96i Editor software is a powerful management application, allowing full control of all console settings from your computer. Once connected to the console and the Online mode activated, 01V96i allows you to follow everything that is happening, with a real-time visualization of the status of the lanes. Used offline, it allows you to manage and edit scene data, patch lists, and other functions, saving time and efficiency in your work. If you're using a rented or already on-site console, just save your data, then transfer it to the other as you like. 01V96i Editor is also an archiving tool of choice: find such and such a configuration, for such a place, years later!
